Rare viper snake released into wildlife sanctuary in Bhola
The snake is infamously called “the Killing Machine” for its ferocious speed and deadly venom. It is considered one of the deadliest among venomous snakes.
Forest Department officials released a rare species of viper snake in the Char Kukri Mukri Wildlife Sanctuary in Bhola on Friday.
The snake was rescued on Wednesday (January 1) from a vegetable patch of Dhania union in Bhola sadar upazila.
"Locals found the snake twined with the nets of the vegetable patch and informed us. The forest officers then rushed to the spot and rescued the five-foot-long viper," he said.
"It is a rare killing-machine viper," Kamrul told The Business Standard.
