More than two lakh people have gathered at 753 cyclone shelters in Patuakhali as rain and gusty wind seemed to appear soon after Mongla maritime port was asked to hoist great danger signal number 10.

Deputy Commissioner Md Matiul Islam and Police Super Mainul Hasan visited the centers last night and suggested everyone to follow social distancing rules.
However, people were not seen to maintain social distancing rules nor were they adopted any protective measures.
Locals have distributed "Khichuri" as Sehri and Iftar meal for the people who have taken shelter.
The Department of Agricultural extension said that there is very little possibility of agricultural damage in the district as 90 percent of the Boro paddy has been harvested.
