Stocks witness moderate gain at opening 

However, turnover of the DSE dropped by 16% to Tk630.24crore during the session

Equity indices of the country's two major bourses reported moderate gains in the early hours of the trading session on Sunday.

In this session, DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose by 3.48 points or 0.06% to 5,625.

However, turnover of the DSE dropped by 16% to Tk630.24crore during the session.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose by 34 points to 16,383 till 11:30 am.

Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 5.53 points to 1,271 and the blue-chip index DS30 rose by 12.66 points to 2,060.

During this session, 186 companies share price rose, while 114 issues fell and 57 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
