Stocks rose amid low turnover
The turnover of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) trading floor dropped by 28% to Tk211.17 crore till 11:30
Indices of both stock exchanges saw upturn in the first one and half hour trading session on Wednesday.
However, the turnover of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) trading floor dropped by 28% to Tk211.17 crore till 11:30 am.
In this session, DSE main index DSEX rose by 23.89 points or 0.49% to 4,859.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 48 points to 13,918.
Moreover, DSE shariah index DSES gained 6.52 points to 1,119 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 5.18 points to 1,681.
Following the investors' movement, 164 companies' share price rose, while 67 issues fell and 92 issues' price remained unchanged during the session at the DSE.
