Indices of both stock exchanges witnessed an upward trend amid investors' selling pressure to book capital gain in the first hour on Monday.

During this session, DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose by 0.31% or 16.99 points to 5,534 till 11:00 am

DSE turnover fell by 13% to Tk538.53 crore in the first trading hour.

During this period, 136 companies' share price advanced, while 136 companies saw a decline and 74 issues' price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.

Beximco Limited secured the apex position in the turnover chart at the DSE.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained by 17 points to 15,990 till 11:00 am.
