Stocks climb amid surging turnover

Indices at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend in the first one and half hours of the trading session on Thursday.

Turnover of the DSE trading floor has jumped by 32% to Tk279.58 crore till 11:30am today. 

In this session, DSEX, the prime index of DSE, rose by 6.90 points or 0.14% to 4,868.

The benchmark index CASPI at the CSE gained 21 points to 13,942. 

Moreover, the Shariah-based DSES index gained 0.13 points to 1,117 and blue-chip index DS30 rose 2.80 points to 1,684. 

Following the investors' movement, share price of 155 companies rose, while 77 issues fell and 88 issues' price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
