Singer AGM held, approved 77% Cash Dividend for 2019

The 40th annual general meeting (AGM) of Singer Bangladesh Ltd. was held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon through Digital Platform. Dr. Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioglu, Chairman, Singer Bangladesh Limited presided over the meeting.

Members participated in the meeting approved 77% cash dividend for the year 2019 and also increased authorized capital from Tk100 crores to 250 crores.

Dr. Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioglu said, "2019 was a successful year for the Company in terms of revenue and profitability and results have been very pleasing for the investors. In 2019 turnover increased by 14.2% to Tk 15.5 billion. Profit after tax increased by 12% to Tk 1 billion, with earnings per share increasing at the same rate to Tk 10.4 per share."

For the first time, Singer has held the AGM through virtual meeting in digital format due to Covid-19 pandemic crisis. The Chairman thanked the members for participating in the AGM through digital platform.

A large number of members participated in the meeting and they appreciated the performance of the management and raised some suggestions towards the development of their Company.
