Legal reformations carried out in the last few years will help put the share market on a stronger ground in the future, said Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman M Khairul Hossain.   

The BSEC chairman said this while the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) board members led by DSE Chairman Eunusur Rahman called on him Monday. 

BSEC Chairman Khairul Hossain said the newly appointed DSE board directors are multi-skilled and experienced. They will work for the betterment of the market. 

The BSEC will extend its all-out support to the DSE for the improvement of the market, added Khairul.    

DSE Chairman Eunusur Rahman said he will work together in achieving the targets for which the market went through demutualisation.    

BSEC commissioners Professor Md Helal Uddin Nizami, Dr Swapan Kumar Bala, Khondoker Kamaluzzaman and other executive directors were present during the meeting.    

The DSE team included Independent Directors Dr Md Masudur Rahman, Salma Nasreen, Md Muntakim Ashraf, Dr AKM Masud, Shareholder-Directors Mohammad Shahjahan, Shakil Rizvi, Minhaj Mannan Emon and Managing Director Kazi Sanaul Hoq.
