Chattogram bourse gets new independent director
Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited’s board confirmed his appointment at its meeting held on Sunday
Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd has appointed Syed Mohammed Tanvir as its new independent director.
The board confirmed his appointment at its meeting held on Sunday.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) approved Tanvir's nomination.
Syed Mohammed Tanvir is a distinguished businessman. He is the managing director of Pacific Jeans Group, director of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as the vice president of the zonal committee of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA).
He is also a trustee board member of the Bangladesh Center of Excellence (BCE) and of Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD).
Further, he is a member of the: Bhatiary Golf and Country Club, Chittagong Boat Club, Shaheen Golf Club, Chittagong Club Ltd, and Chittagong Seniors Club.
Tanvir completed his M Com at the University of Leeds, England.
He has attended several leadership conferences throughout the years – to motivate and develop a network with fellow entrepreneurs.
