Chattogram bourse declares 5% cash dividend
Final approval of the dividend will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) slated for November 12, 2020

The country's port city bourse, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), has recommended a 5% cash dividend to its shareholders for the year that ended on June 30, 2020.
The dividend payout was recommended at the company's board meeting on Wednesday afternoon.
However, final approval of the dividend will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) slated for November 12, 2020. The record date is October 14.
The company's net profit was Tk31.88 crore in the year that ended on June 30, 2020, as compared to Tk39.07 crore in the same period the previous year.
Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk0.50 in the 2019-20 financial year, which was Tk0.62 in the previous year.
In the 2019-20 financial year, CSE's net asset value per share was Tk11.80.
CSE also paid a 5% cash dividend to its shareholders for the year that ended on June 30, 2019.
Mamun-Ur-Rashid, managing director of CSE told The Business Standard, "The entire stock exchange business was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic during the 2019-20 financial year."
"But we are continuously trying to increase our business. We urge our member organisations to increase trading through the CSE platform," he added.
The Chattogram bourse began its journey on October 10, 1995.
