The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) today asked the government to inject additional money into the economy to fight the challenges arouse from the coronavirus attack worldwide.
The think-tank said injection of money can be done by lowering policy rates and buying treasury bills from the commercial banks.
The CPD came up with the recommendations in its analysis on the state of the Bangladesh economy, especially in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. It was a virtual briefing streamed from its office.
Dr Fahmida Khatun, executive director of CPD, read out the findings on the analysis.
