DBCCI president pays courtesy call on FBCCI president

Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) president Mr Md Anwar Shawkat Afser along with the board of directors paid a courtesy call on FBCCI president Mr Md Jashim Uddin in the capital on Sunday.  

DBCCI President proposed a tax amendment of the national budget on Dredger imports. He suggested reducing tax on dredger machine imports from the Netherlands, says a press release.

As an important investor, the Netherlands contribute to Bangladesh in many fields including Delta Plan, therefore Bangladesh may ease of Import and Export between the two brotherly countries.

Mr Md Anwar Shawkat Afser also assured their best support to the FBCCI president and the development of the country. He also expressed that DBCCI may contribute as a general member of FBCCI.

DBCCI Director Mr Md Shahid Alam proposed to amend the tax in the national budget for yarn imports to a flat rate of 3% so that Bangladesh competes with the neighbouring countries.

From the DBCCI Board, Vice Presidents Mr Jakaria Shahid, Mr Md Shahjahan Shaju; Secretary General Mr Md Shakawat Hossain Mamun; Director Finance Mr Noafel Bin Reza; Directors Mr Md Nazmul Haque, Mr Mir Muhammad Nasir, Mr Md Shahid Alam, Mr Md Sayem Faroky were present at the meeting.
