The scenic trails of Dhaka's Hatirjheel came alive with the vibrancy and spirit of community as the BRAC Bank Runners Club celebrated its inaugural group run on 16 September.

Bringing together about 25 health-conscious coworkers from BRAC Bank, the run spanned 5 kilometres, setting a precedent for a culture of active lifestyle and camaraderie, reads a press release.

The BRAC Bank Runners Club, born out of a shared zeal for fitness and community welfare, intends to carve out a niche where fitness meets fun, with regular runs scheduled for weekends and public holiday mornings, aiming to foster a habit of fitness and encouraging an active lifestyle amongst the bank's coworkers.

Syed Abdul Momen, BRAC Bank's Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking, a running enthusiast, echoed the sentiment of unity and well-being. "This marks the beginning of a journey towards holistic health and strengthened bonds among the BRAC Bank family. The club promotes physical health and stands as a testimony to our commitment to fostering a community grounded in camaraderie and collective well-being. We are off to a running start and are eager to welcome more members into this burgeoning community."
