Workers of a garment factory in the Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) blocked off the CEPZ road on Saturday to demand their outstanding wages.

EPZ Thana Officer-in-Charge Mir Md Nurul Huda confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

He said garment workers took to the streets at around 4pm today, leading to a stop of vehicular movements on the road at that time.

However, the blockade ended soon, and the movement of vehicles went back to the normalcy, added OC Nurul Huda.

The name of the factory could not be immediately known.
