Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will place the budget for the fiscal 2021-22 in the Parliament today at 3 pm.

The ensuing budget is expected to give priority to marginalised communities alongside putting the highest emphasis on the healthcare sector at the pandemic time, said a press release issued on Wednesday.

"The implementation of stimulus packages announced by the Prime Minister, the agricultural sector, food production and management and tackling of Covid-19 are being given much importance.

Throughout the fiscal year, the government will have various food-friendly programmes and the social safety net will further be expanded," it read.

A post-budget press conference for the fiscal 2021-22 will be held on Friday.
