United Commercial Bank signs MoU with land ministry

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) and the land ministry on Monday.  

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury graced the event as chief guest while UCB Acting Director Mr Arif Quadri and Mr Pradip Kumar Das, additional secretary of the ministry signed the MoU on behalf of respective organisations, reads a press release.

Under this agreement, UCB will be the settlement bank of the land ministry. The mode of payment like Upay and other MFS will be transferred the collected amount on next day to a designated bank A/C of the ministry with UCB.

In this regards, UCB will help land ministry to create an automated system and MIS so that ministry can have a clear visibility with a single click.

Among others, Mr Md Mustafizur Rahman PAA, secretary of land ministry; Mr Jahid Hossain Panir, deputy secretary of Digital Cell at the ministry; Mr ATM Tahmiduzzaman FCS, deputy managing director & company secretary of UCB; Mr Md Sekander-E-Azam, executive vice-president of the bank and senior officials of both the organisations were present at the event.
