Prime bank's AML and CFT Division and HRTDC jointly arranged a day-long virtual training on 'Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT)' recently.
The bank took the initiative as a part of keeping its employees updated on regulations of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) through training and workshop.
A press release issued by the bank said AML and CFT have emerged as a critically important risk issue in the global financial arena and so, regular training helps the employees in their capacity development and professional career as they become well informed and better equipped to tackle such risk issues.
Rahel Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Prime Bank, inaugurated the virtual training workshop where more than 150 participants of the bank participated, including the members of Central Compliance Committee (CCC) and senior officials of different divisions.
Chowdhury MAQ Sarwar, an independent consultant, conducted the training. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, deputy managing director and CAMLCO; Md. Iqbal Hossain, DCAMLCO and head of the division; and Ziaur Rahman, head of HR of the bank; were also present in the workshop.
