Prime Bank introduces eKYC solution ‘Primeplus’

Prime Bank introduced an Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) platform on Wednesday, allowing customers to open accounts without physically visiting any bank.

The service – Primeplus – will help pave the way to bring millions of unbanked people under the banking and financial system, read a press release.

To open account through Primeplus, the customers need to visit the website of Prime Bank or click on https://primeplus.primebank.com.bd/ and follow a few steps. The account opening process is easy and quick. A customer needs to have an NID in order to open an account. 

During the launch, Prime Bank's Managing Director and CEO Hassan O Rashid, said, "Prime Bank has always been at the forefront when it comes to technological innovation in the banking industry. Primeplus bears testimony to our commitment to making banking easier and simpler for the valued customers."

"We believe this solution will facilitate financial inclusion of millions of unbanked people of the country," he added.

Primeplus works on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) based identity verification with auto de-duplication checking and sanction screening.

The customers will get account number instantly and enjoy internet banking access. Customer also can place debit card and cheque book requests digitally. PRIMEPLUS platform has been launched in line with eKYC guidelines of Bangladesh Bank.
