The 28th founding anniversary of National Credit and Commerce Bank Limited was celebrated at its head office in the capital.
Marking the day, a Dua Mahfil through virtual platform and cake cutting ceremony at different branches were held, reads a press release on Tuesday.
Chairman of the bank SM Abu Mohsin said NCC bank wants to be one of the top banks in the country by using advanced technology and creating new customers.
Bank's Vice-Chairman Md Abul Bashar; Risk Management Committee Chairman Md Nurun Newaz Salim; Directors Md Abul Awal, Sohela Hossain, Tanjina Ali, Khairul Alam Chaklader; Audit Committee Chairman Nurul Islam Chowdhury and Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, among others, attended the programme virtually.
Mohsin said the bank started its journey on 17 May in 1993. Now it is 28 years old and 36 years old as a financial institution.
During the long journey, the bank has played an important role in every step of the country's economic prosperity. It has contributions in various sectors, including heavy industry, readymade garments, power, and infrastructure development, he added.
Managing Director and CEO of the bank Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid said, "In future days, we have to focus on Core Banking Solution (CBS) system and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in order to improve the overall digitization process."
