M Amanullah elected Mercantile Bank vice chairman
M Amanullah, founder of the Aman Group of Companies, is a prominent businessperson in the country

M Amanullah has been elected as the vice chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited at the bank's 367th board meeting.
He is a sponsor director of the bank. He was also the chairman of the bank and contributed heavily towards the efficiency and optimisation of the bank during his tenure, said a media release on Sunday.
M Amanullah, founder of the Aman Group of Companies, is a very respected and distinguished businessperson in the country.
His business acumen has lead to the successful launch of various, diversified businesses under the umbrella of Aman Group of Companies and he holds the position of chairman of all the companies under the group.
He is one of the directors of the daily Amader Shomoy, a leading newspaper in Bangladesh.
He is the CIP. Mr Aman is also recognised for his contribution to the community and to the nation in the field of education. He was the former chairman of the board of trustee of the Presidency University, Dhaka.
He has been rewarded many times by many government and private organisations as a recognition for his various social welfare activities and also for contribution through a charitable hospital run by 'Aman Group Foundation'.
M Aman is the founder chairman of Gulshan North Club.
