EBL launches co-branded cards, lounge with Wholesale Club
The co-branded cards will offer customers a lot of benefits from both EBL and Wholesale Club including cashback facilities and discounts
Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) and Wholesale Club have launched co-branded credit, prepaid card and a lounge at Dhaka's Jamuna Future Park.
SM Rezaul Karim, minister for housing and public works, and ruling party lawmaker Advocate Salma Islam were present at the launching event along with Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director and chief executive officer of the EBL and Saiful Islam, director of Wholesale Club.
Jamuna Group Chairman Nurul Islam Babul, the group's Managing Director Md Shamim Islam and directors Monica Nazneen Islam and Sumaiya Hossain Islam were also present at the event among others.
The co-branded cards will offer customers a lot of benefits from both EBL and Wholesale Club including cashback facilities and discounts. These Visa cards will allow customers to use the Visa network for worldwide transactions.
"Wholesale Club - EBL Lounge," launched at the event, is an online lounge. It will allow customers to order products that are unavailable in Bangladesh. There will also be an EBL service desk at the lounge, where customers will be able to avail several banking services.
From Wholesale Club, S Shikder Shihab, head of Marketing; and from the EBL M Khorshed Anowar, head of Retail and SME banking, Ziaul Karim, head of Communications and External Affairs, Sarmin Atik, head of Priority Banking, Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, head of Cards and Digital Banking, Nahid Farzana, head of Cards Business, Riyadh Ferdous, head of Brand were also present at the event.
