City Bank’s holds 37th AGM in digital platform
Following the Board of Directors’ recommendation, 15% Cash dividend has been declared in the meeting.

City Bank has held its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) through virtual platform on Thursday.
Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser presided over the meeting. He mentioned various challenges persisting in the banking sector due to Covid-19 pandemic and the consistent attempts to overcome those, according to a press release issued.
The Audited Financial Statements of the Bank for the year ended December 31, 2019 were placed before the AGM and a number of Shareholders discussed the performance of the Bank.
The shareholders made various observations and suggestions on performance of the Bank for the year 2019, the press release said.
Managing Director & CEO, Mashrur Arefin ardently stated in his speech about the wholesome approach of City Bank to serve the lives and financial purposes of people from all the sectors and spheres of societies, the press release reads.
Following the Board of Directors' recommendation, 15% Cash dividend has been declared in the meeting. It was approved by the shareholders.
Among others, Vice Chairman Hossain Khaled; Director Tabassum Kaiser, Independent Director Mr. Farooq Sobhan, Managing Director & CEO Mashrur Arefin, and large number of shareholders and the Bank's senior officials also attended the meeting.
