Brac Bank celebrates milestone of 300th agent banking outlet
The customers of the bank can now avail agent banking services in 61 districts
As part of expanding the network since entering the agent banking business in October 2018, Brac Bank has opened its 300th outlet.
The bank – the fastest to launch the 300th agent banking outlet – marked the milestone of opening the 300th outlet at a ceremony held at its head office in the capital on January 20.
Managing Director and CEO of the bank Selim R F Hussain, Deputy Managing Director and CRO Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Deputy Managing Director and COO Md Sabbir Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and CFO M Masud Rana FCA, Head of Alternate Banking Channels Nazmur Rahim, Head of Agent Banking Md Nazmul Hasan and senior officials were present at the ceremony.
Selim R F Hussain said, "The vision of Brac Bank is to bring the unbanked segment of the people under formal financial umbrella. agent banking will play a facilitating role in bringing in a large population who are presently out of formal banking services through this inclusive banking model."

The bank's valued customers can now avail agent banking services in 61 districts.
With the introduction of agent banking, the customers in the remote areas of the country will be able to avail services, such as opening accounts, deposit and withdraw cash, DPS, FDR, fund transfer, foreign remittance, utility bills and insurance premium payment, loan disbursement and repayment, government allowance receipt, debit card and cheque book requisition, school fee payment and many more at the agent banking outlets.
