Banks see limited transaction amid growing virus fears
Amid government imposed ten-day holiday, the banks of the capital’s Motijheel and Dilkusha areas were open today
Banking transaction has been considerably limited at the capital's different branches since they started operating from 10am.
Amid government imposed ten-day holiday, the banks of the capital's Motijheel and Dilkusha areas were open today.
Although some banks saw little to no crowd but few, like-Dilkusha Branch of the National Bank, were crowded.
Habibur Rahman, manager of National Bank's Dilkusha branch said, "Money debiting and crediting are both going on in full swing".
However, bank officials and customers had to adopt different measures to reach their banking destination. Some said to have walked to reach Motijheel from Shahbag area as the country is going through a partial lockdown, till April 4, in an attempt to curb coronavirus spread in the country.
