The potential sectors between the two countries can be identified primarily by forming a joint working group, Rezaul said.

"We can export sea fish to Vietnam utilizing the potentials of blue economy. There is also an opportunity of exporting meat. We want to work together in this regards," the minister said.

Chien said Bangladesh and Vietnam can work in exchanging information and experience on fisheries and livestock sector through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bangladesh's Fisheries and Livestock Ministry and Vietnam's Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry.

The existing relations between the two countries can be strengthened further through exchanging information, the ambassador added.

Secretary of the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Rawnak Mahmud, Additional Secretary Kazi Wasi Uddin, Joint Secretary Md Towfiqul Arif, Director General of the Department of Livestock Services (DLS) Dr Abdul Jabbar Sikder and President of the Bangladesh-Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BVCCI) SM Rahman were present at the meeting, among others.
