Two domestic flights from Ctg cancelled due to lack of passengers

Domestic passenger flights resumed today more than two months after a suspension on all domestic flights to prevent coronavirus outbreak.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines cancelled two domestic flights from Chattogram today due to lack of sufficient passengers.

The flights were scheduled to depart from Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport at 9:50am and 9:10pm on Monday for Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport.

Arifuzzaman Khan, Chattogram Airport manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, told The Business Standard,"Flights cannot be operated with one or two passengers. Tomorrow's flight operation depends on the number of passengers." 

"Biman Bangladesh Airlines is supposed to operate 11 flights today.Of the flights, two have been cancelled. Besides, US Bangla will operate six flights and Novo Air will operate three flights," said  Wing Commander Sarwar E Zaman, manager of Shah Amanat International Airport.

"Two Novo Air and two US Bangla flights landed at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport around 1:45pm today," he added.
