New Dash 8-400 aircraft arrives at Dhaka

A brand new aircraft Dash 8-400 joined the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Tuesday. 

The newly bought aircraft arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3.30pm today, Chairman of the Biman Board of Directors Sajjadul Hasan confirmed in a statement.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina named the aircraft 'Dhrubatara' that takes the number of the total fleet of the national flag carrier to 19. 

Earlier, a water cannon salute was given following the arrival of 'Dhrubatara' in presence of the Chairman of the Biman's Board of Directors Sajjadul Hasan, Managing Director and CEO Md Mokabbir Hossain, and Director Engineer and Material Management Mirza Sarower.
