Dhaka-Rajshahi flights resume after 4 months
Flights between Dhaka and Rajshahi were suspended since March 26 due to the coronavirus outbreak
Domestic flights on the Dhaka-Rajshahi route resumed today after a four-month hiatus caused by the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
A Novoair flight from Dhaka landed at the Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi at 11.26am on Tuesday. Later, the flight left Rajshahi for Dhaka at 12.11pm. A US-Bangla flight also operated on this domestic route in the afternoon.
Setafur Rahaman, manager at the Rajshahi airport, said the flights between Dhaka and Rajshahi were suspended since March 26 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
"Operation on the domestic route resumed after four months, but the number of passengers was low," Setafur added.
