CAAB seeks Japan's continued assistance for Bangladesh's aviation sector
Both the sides emphasised the importance of expediting airport’s third terminal launching process for facilitating passenger services
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan today (5 September) sought Japan's continued support for further development of the country's aviation sector.
He sought the support while Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Iwama Kiminori paid a courtesy call on him at the CAAB headquarters in the capital, according to a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed issues relating to mutual interests including launch of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and loan payments to Japan.
Both the sides emphasised the importance of expediting airport's third terminal launching process for facilitating passenger services.
CAAB Chairman expressed gratitude to Japan for its continued support to Bangladesh and voiced optimism for future cooperation.
The discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing mutual cooperation and communication in the aviation sector between the two countries, the release added.
