Bangladesh resumes scheduled flights with 8 countries

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has permitted scheduled international flights to/from eight countries.

The countries are - China, Malaysia, Maldives, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Turkey, UAE and UK.

A CAAB circular issued on Friday said that physical distancing of personnel on duty at the airport and disinfection procedure for passengers, crew, aircraft etc shall be complied with the CAAB directives.

"The decision of Covid-19 negative certificates for all outgoing passengers has also been relaxed. From now on, passengers intending to travel abroad must possess all valid travel documents, visas, health/medical/Covid-19 negative/test certificate and other necessary documents as per the requirement of the destination country," the press release added.

Meanwhile, foreign nationals coming to Bangladesh with valid visas will be required to produce a medical certificate (with English translation) to be obtained within 72 hours of travel, indicating that the passenger is Covid-19 negative.

The documents need to be submitted on the arrival at the entry point in Bangladesh.
