After announcing a route to Dhaka in August, Abu Dhabi's first low cost airline Air Arabia has added port city of Chattogram as its second destination in Bangladesh

It will start flying on October 25 from UAE and will operate twice per week via an Airbus A320neo, reports The National.

Outbound flights are scheduled to leave Abu Dhabi International Airport at 9am on Tuesdays and Sundays. The return flight departs departs Shah Amanat International Airport at 4.30pm. One-way fares for the flight start from Dh1,208 ($328).

Saudia Airlines to operate flights to Dhaka from Sep 23

Chattagrom, sometimes referred to as Chittagong, is the seventh destination Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced since the airline's launch on July 14. Earlier this month, it launched twice weekly flights to Sudan. The low-cost airline also flies to Cairo, Alexandria, Sohag, Kabul and Dhaka.

Travellers booking tickets on any Air Arabia flight can take a Covid-19 PCR test at a cost of Dh150. This can be done at NMC Hospitals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah.

There's also the option of taking a home test when flying with Air Arabia for the cost of Dh190.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a partnership between Etihad and Sharjah-based Air Arabia.

The airline began operating in July 2020, during the global pandemic, when several other airlines were grounding aircraft and reducing their network.
