North Bengal Agro Farm exports mango of Rajshahi to Switzerland
The first shipment was set to leave for Switzerland today evening
State Minister for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Shariar Alam said-in his Facebook post today that a company named North Bengal Agro Farm Ltd has started exporting mangoes of Rajshahi to Switzerland.
The first shipment was set to leave for Switzerland on Sunday evening, it adds.
The minister, in the Facebook post, said that exporting of mango would run until mid-August if there were no problems with the first shipment.

"The target of mango export was set at 100 tonnes this year but it is not possible due to various reasons. Using experience of this year, the target for 2021 will be set," the minister added in his post.
He also said that in the next year, Rajshahi will have its own or official fruit quarantine and processing centre that everyone can use.
