10,000 job opportunities to be created at Debiganj economic zone: Sujon

'The economic zone will be build on 602 acres of land at Sonahar and Debiduba union of Debiganj upazila and the procedures for setting up the economic zone have already started. Employment opportunities of 10,000 men and women will be created here', the minister said while visiting the zone area

Railways Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujon on Thursday said that about 10,000 employment oppurtunities would be created after setting up Debiganj Economic Zone in the district.

"The economic zone will be build on 602 acres of land at Sonahar and Debiduba union of Debiganj upazila and the procedures for setting up the economic zone have already started. Employment opportunities of 10,000 men and women will be created here", the minister said while visiting the zone area.

Bangladesh Economic Zone Authrotity (BEZA) signed a land lease deal with Panchagarh District Administration on August 24 for setting up Debiganj Economic Zone.

Debiganj upazila chairman of Abdul Malek Chistee, police super Yousuf Ali, upazila nirbahi officer Protty Hasan, upazila Awami League president and general secretary Gias Uddin Chowdhury and Hasnat Zaman Chowdhury Jarje were present among others.
