Ambassador of Kosovo to Bangladesh Güner Ureya paid a courtesy call on FBCCI President Mohammad Jasim Uddin at Federation Bhaban on Tuesday afternoon
During that time, the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the FBCCI and the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce was handed over to Ambassador Güner Ureya , said an FBCCI press release.
During the courtesy call, the Kosovo ambassador stated that the country wants Bangladesh to support its economic development.
Ambassador Ureya noted Kosovo's interest in investing in the pharmaceutical industry in a joint venture with Bangladesh, the release said.
At the time, Ambassador Ureya said, the European Union had offered Kosovo a duty-free market so investing in the country will be positive for Bangladesh after the LDC transition.
During the courtesy call, the FBCCI president said that although some companies have set up factories abroad, the opportunities for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to invest abroad are still somewhat regulated. The FBCCI is actively working to bring relaxation in this regard.
