Vietnam provides medical equipment to help Bangladesh fight Covid-19

Vietnam provided medical equipment to Bangladesh to assist it in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic better.

The medical equipment, has arrived in Dhaka from Vietnam on a special flight of US-Bangla Airlines on August 18, said a press release.

The Foreign Ministry received the equipment from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Earlier, a 'symbolic handover ceremony' was held on August 14.

Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Chi Dung and Bangladesh Ambassador to Vietnam Samina Naz were present at the programme.

The medical equipment includes 66 boxes ((3,000 pieces) of personal protective equipment (PPE) and 80 boxes (2,00,000 pieces) of surgical masks.
