Two more doctors die of Covid-19

Two more doctors have died of coronavirus in the capital recently.

Dr ABM Shamsul Huda died while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of icddr,b Hospital on Monday afternoon.

The 86-year-old physician was the former principal of Sir Salimullah Medical College and a former student of Dhaka Medical College (K-12 batch).

Later, Dr Faridul Alam Reza Shokrana,70, breathed his last while receiving treatment at SIBL Hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday morning.

He was the former joint managing director of Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital, a life member of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and a student of Chittagong Medical College (8th batch).

Bangladesh Medical College Association (BMA) President Dr Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin and General Secretary Md Ehteshamul Huq Choudhury expressed deep shock at the demise of the two doctors, reads a press release.

With these latest deaths, 151 doctors and three dental surgeons have died of Covid-19 in the country so far.
