Taposh urges all to take Covid-19 vaccine without hesitation
People who are spreading propaganda over the vaccine will face action, he said
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has urged all to take Covid-19 vaccine without any fear and don't pay heed to any propaganda regarding its side-effects.
He was addressing a discussion programme, commemorating late acting president of Dhaka city Awami League MA Aziz, in the city on Saturday.
Taposh said proper action would be taken against those who are spreading propaganda about Covid-19 vaccines.
"Now we have received the vaccines of highly contagious disease Covid-19 and all the people of the country will be vaccinated gradually," he said.
There is no harmful side-effect of the coronavirus vaccine. However, body temperature may increase a bit after taking this vaccine. But the vaccine will protect us from future risk of infection from Covid-19.
"Evil forces will always hatch conspiracies. However, we have to be more organised against the conspirators."
Taposh further said, "We have the due respect to Gazi Golam Mostafa, Musa, former mayor Mohammad Hanif and MA Aziz because we got the platform for their sacrifice."
MA Aziz was a brave and generous leader. He never thought of fulfilling his personal interest, the mayor added.
Dhaka South City Awami League president Abu Ahmed Mannafi presided over the programme while its general secretary Humayun Kabir, Vice-presidents Dr Dilip Roy and Abdus Sattar Masud, MA Aziz's son Omar bin Aziz Akber Tamim, among others, were present on the occasion.
