Sena Kalyan Sangstha continues exemplary effort to tackle Covid-19 crisis
The organisation has donated Tk5.10 crore, along with the one-day salary of its officials and employees, to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund
Bangladesh Sena Kalyan Sangstha has been distributing relief among the poor and destitute people on a regular basis amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following this trend, the organisation– with direct cooperation from the Bangladesh Army – distributed relief goods among 8,000 families on April 29, said an ISPR press release on Friday.
Sena Kalyan Sangsthahas stood by the government and the people from the very beginning, under the directive of Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, also the chairman of the organisation's Board of Trustee, and the leadership of Major General Sajjdul Haque, chairman of the organisation.
It has also donated Tk5.10 crore, along with the one-day salary of its officials and employees, to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to help tackle the novel coronavirus.
Besides, Sena Kalyan Sangsthaprovided 150 beds and various equipment to the Ashkona Hajj Camp quarantine centre, and distributed relief goods among workers after factories shut down amid the Covid-19 crisis.
In addition to that, the country's leading organisations such as Banglalink, Walton Group, Phoenix Group, Pran-RFL Group and Mongla Cement Factory Dealers Association have extended their support on the call of Sena Kalyan Sangstha.
