S Alam Group donates medical equipment to 3 Ctg hospitals
Earlier on Monday, the group also donated one ventilator to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and one to Mugda General Hospital

S Alam Group has donated medical equipment worth Tk3 crore to three hospitals in Chattogram.
The industrial conglomerate donated four ventilators and four high-flow nasal cannulas to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, two high-flow nasal cannulas to Chattogram General Hospital, four ventilators and four high-flow nasal cannulas to Chattogram Maa O Shishu Hospital.
Akij Uddin, the personal secretary of S Alam Group Chairman Saiful Alam Masud, handed over the equipment to the authorities of the hospitals on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, the group also donated one ventilator to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and one to Mugda General Hospital, S Alam Group's Medical Wing Official Hossain Rana told The Business Standard.
"We provided three hospitals with some equipment they needed. The equipment are worth Tk3 crore," he said.
He also said that S Alam Group donated 1,200 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE), four air conditioners, six sample collection booths to Bangladesh Medical Association (BAM) at the beginning of the outbreak in Bangladesh.
Earlier on May 23, S Alam Group's Director Morshedul Alam, 65, died from Covid-19. Six of his family members, who were also tested positive with the virus, were transferred to Dhaka after his death.
