Rangpur confirms first cases of coronavirus
Samples of 188 suspected patients have been tested in Rangpur Medical College in the last 24 hours

Rangpur district has reported its first two positive cases of coronavirus on Tuesday.
One of the patients is from the district's Ganeshpur village. He works at a clinic in Rangpur. Another patient is from the Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.
The district's Civil Surgeon Dr Hirombo Kumar Roy has locked down the clinic after the patient was tested positive with the virus.
"We are not having any issues treating patients as we have enough medicine, personal protective equipment (PPE) and manpower," the civil surgeon said.
"Samples of 188 suspected patients from different districts of Rangpur division have been tested in Rangpur Medical College in the last 24 hours. Among those, eight came positive. Two of them are residents of Rangpur district," Principle of the medical college Dr AKM Nurunnabi Laiju told The Business Standard.
