Public transport shutdown extended till April 11
Bangladesh government has extended the shutdown of public transports till April 11 amid the novel coronavirus situation in the country.
A press release of the Road Transport and Highways Division made the disclosure today.
However, vehicles of emergency services, goods, medicines, fuel, daily essentials and relief will remain out of purview of the shutdown.
Besides, the aforesaid vehicles will not be allowed to carry passengers, the release adds.
Bangladesh today confirmed two more deaths from coronavirus and nine new cases. With this, the death toll from the virus rises to eight and a total of 70 patients have been diagnosed with the virus in the country so far.
