Professor Golam Rahman, 4 family members test Covid-19 positive
Former chief information commissioner Professor Golam Rahman and four members of his family were tested positive with the novel coronavirus last week.
He told The Business Standard that his daughter-in-law and housemaid were also tested positive.
Professor Golam Rahman lives in the capital's Niketan. His wife Naim Ara Hossain was tested positive with the virus on May 29.
Among the infected family members, Naim Ara Hossain's health condition isn't well. She is currently admitted into the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital. She will be undergoing plasma therapy at the hospital.
The rest of the family members are staying in home isolation.
Golam Rahman is the former Professor of the Mass Communication and Journalism department of Dhaka University. He also worked as the Chief Information Commissioner of the Information Commission of Government of Bangladesh.
Besides that, Golam Rahman also worked as the Chairman of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
