Policeman dies in CMCH

A member of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) died in Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) while undergoing treatment on Thursday night.

Mahbubur Rahman, 48, was admitted to the hospital on in the afternoon of the same day after he had fallen sick, said Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddik, additional deputy commissioner (media cell) of the CMP.

"Doctors said Mahbubur had suffered brain hemorrhage," Abu Bakar told The Business Standard.

However, samples have been collected from the deceased for Covid-19 test, he added.

Mabubur, hailing from Bonogram village of Pabna's Santhia upazila, was working in the traffic department of the CMP, said a press release.
