Netrokona OC suspended for ignoring duty on Covid-19

The police headquarters on Tuesday suspended Ranjan Kumar Samant, officer-in-charge of Baniachong police station, as he showed his reluctance to go to the work during Covid-19 pandemic.

Police spokesperson Assistant Inspector General Sohel Rana told The Business Standard on Tuesday. 

The district has recently witnessed a number of returnees from Dhaka and Narayanganj. Police personnel are working to ensure their quarantine and lockdown of the infected families. 

But Ranjan Kumar avoided his responsibility that's why the headquarter suspended him, said Sohel.
