Markets, shopping malls to remain closed during lockdown

The shops and markets across the country will remain closed during the lockdown.

The government made the disclosure in a gazette notification today.

However, online sales will be allowed only after maintaining hygiene rules.

Besides, Kitchen markets and grocery shops will remain open from 8am to 4pm daily.

Factories and industries will remain open upon ensuring workers' safety and health issues.

Bangladesh government has imposed a 7-day countrywide lockdown, starting from Monday, primarily as Covid-19 situation has taken a very dangerous turn here.
