Manikganj District Hospital has stopped collecting novel coronavirus samples after two technologists of the hospital tested positive for the virus. People are suffering as the sample collection has been closed for eight days.
Dr Arshad Ullah, superintendent of the hospital confirmed this matter on Saturday evening.
"Technologists Md Abdus Salam and Kaji Md Younus tested positive for [the novel] coronavirus in September. A few more staffers of the hospital were also infected with the virus. Sample collection for [novel] coronavirus testing is on hold for this reason," he said.
"A discussion about taking steps and recruiting a new technologist to return sample collection for [novel] coronavirus testing to normal is ongoing," he added.
