Lakshmipur civil surgeon tests Covid-19 positive

Civil surgeon of Lakshmipur Dr Md Abdul Gaffar tested positive for coronavirus.

Residential medical officer (RMO) of Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital Dr Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to The Business Standard Monday night.

"Md Abdul Gaffar was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka Monday morning with fever, cold, chest pain and respiratory problems. He was tested positive for the virus in the evening," he added.

"Before that, he was undergoing treatment for three days at Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital," he added.

Civil surgeon office said some 608 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the district till Monday. Of them, 300 went home after recovery and 13 died.
