Golam Mohammad Quader, Jatiya Party chairman and deputy leader of the opposition in parliament, has said rapid testing for Covid-19 has become urgent in the country to combat coronavirus crisis.

"Doctors will be able to take decision promptly if the tests are done quickly," he said in a video massage today.

"The method of testing for the virus following the guideline of the World Health Organisation is not giving hundred percent accurate results. In that case, rapid testing can give better results," said GM Quader.

He has also urged to appoint more doctors and nurses and ensure more hospitals to fight the pandemic.

In the video message, he has supported the government's decision of easing the ongoing lockdown.
