An official of the Postogola Fire Service Station in Dhaka has tested positive for the Covid-19.
Thirty-one other firefighters, who came in touch with the infected official, have been sent to home quarantine.
Sazzad Hossain, director general of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed it to The Business Standard.
He said a deputy assistant director of the Postogola Fire Service Station has been infected.
Every firefighter is working round the clock following the government health instructions, he added.
