Deaths rise to 46, infections cross 1000 in Narayanganj
Four more people die; 64 more test positive in the last 24 hours
The number of deaths from Covid-19 has risen to 46 in Narayanganj and the number of infections has exceeded one thousand, according to the Civil Surgeon's Office's website on Saturday.
In the last 24 hours, 64 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the district, taking the total to 1001.
As of April 27, a total of 42 people died from Covid-19 infections. Four more people died in the last four days, according to the data of the district health office.
The civil surgeon's office said samples were collected from 88 people in the last 24 hours in the district. The total sample collection was 3,168.
Besides, a total of 42 people have recovered. At present there are 46 people in total quarantine.
Earlier, the civil surgeon's office on Friday morning said the number of infected people was 937. Later at night, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said the number rose to 966.
